DAY 1 Depart from La Paz for the shores of Lake Titicaca, crossing the Tiquina Strait to reach Copacabana. Along the way, you will pass pre-Columbian agricultural terraces that are still cultivated today, despite the passage of centuries. After lunch in Copacabana, you will visit the basilica and view paintings depicting the story of Tito Yupanqui, the sculptor of the statue. If you wish, you can climb the Calvario Hill to enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Titicaca. Overnight stay. Hotel Rosario del Lago or similar. (Lunch) DAY 2 After breakfast, you will cross the lake by motorboat to the Island of the Sun (Isla del Sol) to visit the southern area and the community of Yumani. There, you will discover the Inca Stairway, the gardens, and the Inca Fountain. You will also visit Pilkokaina, a structure begun by the Tiwanaku people and expanded by the Incas. Afterward, you will return to Copacabana before heading back to the city of La Paz. (Breakfast and lunch)
