Shared circuit: La Paz/Copacabana/Isla del Sol (2 days/1 night) – Overnight in Copacabana
From the city of La Paz, you will head toward the southern area of Lake Titicaca, known as "Wiñaymarka" (the Eternal City). Next, you will cross the Tiquina Strait to reach the town of Copacabana, where you will board a boat to the sacred Island of the Sun (Isla del Sol). During the journey, you can admire spectacular views of the Cordillera Real mountain range. Once on the island—where you will have lunch—you will discover Pilkokaina, a structure begun by the Tiwanaku people and later expanded by the Incas. A walk across the island will then lead you to the Inca Stairway, the gardens, and the Fountain of the Three Springs. You will return to Copacabana to visit the basilica and admire the paintings recounting the story of Tito Yupanqui—the sculptor of the image—before finally returning to La Paz. DAY 1 Departure from La Paz by shared tourist bus to Lake Titicaca; arrival in Copacabana for hotel check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Basilica of the Virgin of Copacabana and view the paintings telling the story of Tito Yupanqui, the sculptor of the image. Afterward, stop by the Chapel of Candles to observe the devotion of the faithful who visit the town. If you wish, you can climb to the Calvario (Calvary Hill) to enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Titicaca. Overnight stay. (Lunch) DAY 2 After breakfast, board a motorboat to cross the lake to the Island of the Sun and visit the southern area, as well as the Yumani community. There, you will discover the stairway, the gardens, and the Inca Fountain. You will also visit Pilkokaina, a structure begun by the Tiwanaku people and expanded by the Incas. Afterward, return to Copacabana to take the bus back to the city of La Paz. (Breakfast and lunch)
